PHOTOGRAPHY AT COLEG Y CYMOEDD

The Foundation Degree in Creative Industries (Photography) will give you a wide range of creative and technical photographic skills through stimulating assignments, including digital photography, extensive studio and location work (including field trips) and some traditional silver-based film photography.

You will gain a sound knowledge of the history of photography and of modern developments. There is a strong emphasis on practice, with varied and interesting assignments in photojournalism, documentary photography, fashion photography, commercial photography, fine art approaches and alternative photographic styles.

Teaching is delivered through a combination of workshops, lectures, tutorials and work-based learning. You will usually develop your practical work individually, but will occasionally work in groups. Assessment is through regular coursework submissions and presentations.

This two year course is full-time and is awarded by the University of South Wales.

For more information please contact: jessica.emanuel@cymoedd.ac.uk
