Light Painting in the Photography Studio
Today, the Year 1 students experimented with light painting in the Studio. Light painting photography is the process of using handheld lights/torches to paint and/or draw a scene whilst the shutter on the camera is left open during a long exposure. The trails, flashes and streaks of light are captured on the digital sensor to some really interesting outcomes without any post production manipulation. A great day with Year 1, who have been creating some exciting images and experimenting with this technique.
